ABOUT
Golden Gate Pedicab was started in 2009 as an offshoot of Boston Pedicab. To oversee the new company’s start, Boston Pedicab co-founder Justin Bruce moved to San Francisco and helped bring in 15 new pedicabs, worked with the city to approve new pedicab routes and brought a boom to business in the area. Since then, the company has slowly grown into a popular presence on San Francisco’s Embarcadero, garnering praise from blogs, tourists and locals, and being seen on Comcast SportsNet.
Whether our patrons are trying to catch a ferry in the nick of time or want to get to Ghirardelli Square for a leisurely afternoon, they always leave our cabs with a smile on their faces. Customers are consistently impressed with our friendly and outgoing drivers, consistent service, and scenic city sites.
After all, as one of the most eye-catching cities in the world, San Francisco deserves to be seen from the back of a Pedicab. Visitors need not view the city from inside a cramped taxi, but can stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh air while taking pictures or simply enjoying the sights. And, no need to fear in eco-conscious California- with nothing but legs and a little bit of sweat for our motors, this is the greenest job in town!
Our fleet is equipped with lights, reflectors, seat belts, shock-absorbent cabs and hydraulic brakes. We even have full canvas covers to keep our rides rain-free on those particularly wet days! So if you have to get somewhere, get there in style and arrive with a smile – take a Pedicab!
